Kurt Wagaman – Business Development Manager, Superior Fresh

As the Business Development Manager, Kurt is responsible for identifying and developing business strategies and relationships, including the development of current and future company partners and customers. This involves incorporating marketing design, sales, cost control measures, and product management tasks to achieve operational goals.

Kurt joined the Superior Fresh team with the intent to support and secure the concerted goal of proving out a sustainable agri-business model that addresses future food production challenges.

After meeting the Superior Fresh team, it was obvious to Kurt that the owner’s passion towards the project was instilled into everyone involved with the endeavor.  The traits of perseverance, determination, collaboration, and ingenuity, had permeated throughout the staff at Superior Fresh. Being a piece of that, was considered by Kurt to be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Bringing a skill set that ranges from science educator, personnel and project management, negotiations, Merchant Mariner’s Credentials with the United States Coast Guard, to years of experience with the Alaskan commercial salmon industry, Kurt strives to benefit the company in any capacity required.

Kurt’s unwavering commitment to the company reflects a militaristic discipline resulting from a diverse history of life experiences.  The future’s potential is limitless and Kurt’s mantra of being a lifelong learner is, without doubt, being realized daily.

Superior Fresh is an industry-leading aquaponics facility specializing in leafy greens and coldwater fish species. Our Northfield, WI facility is situated on a 720-acre Native Restoration Sanctuary nestled in the picturesque Coulee Region of Western Wisconsin. Our flagship aquaponics facility will be the largest in the world, filled with the best equipment and technology.
